German Embassy wishes Ghanaians well

Accra, June 9, GNA - The Ghana Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany has sent a good will message to all Ghanaians ahead of the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.

A statement from issued from the Embassy in Accra on Friday said 'even as the weather report indicates bright sunshine in Munich, we are looking forward for a wonderful opening match'.

The statement said there is no need for Ghanaians to worry about powerful support from their countrymen as more than thousand supporters are on their way to cheer the national team.

It said it is no secret that supporters from Ghana far outnumber other supporters group from other countries in Africa. The statement said that reports from Germany indicate strong confidence in the Black Stars as they prepare to make their maiden appearance at the World Cup.
