Ghana Football Association postpones Extra Ordinary Congress

Accra, Dec 22, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has rescheduled its Extra Ordinary Congress fixed for December 30, 2008 to January 6, 2009. A statement signed by Mr Kofi Nsiah, General Secretary of the GFA copied to GNA Sports said the Congress will be held at the premises of the GFA and called on all members to take note and attend without fail. It said any inconvenience caused by the postponement is deeply regretted.

The Congress, in pursuant of Article 23 (5) (2) of the Statutes is to discuss issues bordering on the development of the game. It is also to deliberate on a court case by Maha Ayew, a Director of Nania FC against the Association, an offer of apology by Mighty Jets and Zaytuna United and the proposed amendment of Article 24 (1) (3) of the Statutes.
