Ghana are considering switching their pre-World Cup preparations from Portugal to Austria.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) said Austrian officials have offered them the free use of their training facilities.
Two GFA officials have subesequently travelled to Austria to inspect the facilities.
Ghana, who be making their debut at this year's finals in Germany, had planned to begin their training camp on 14 May in the Portuguese town of Faro.
They intend to use their base to travel to friendly matches arranged in Germany, London and Glasgow between 26 May and 4 June.
Italy will be Ghana's opponents in their opening Group E match on 12 June, with subsequent games against the Czech Republic and the USA.
