Inusah Musah’s stupendous performance for Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash with Asante Kotoko and a brace each for Hasaacas’ Kojo Poku and WAFA’s Richmond Lamptey earned them automatic places in the Ghanasoccernet.com Best XI for the Week XXI of the Ghana Premier League.

The coach of the week went to Hasaacas stand-in coach Joe Agyemang Jnr while the system for the week is 4:4:1:1 (same as 4:5:1 or 4:4: with a little variation.)

Fatau Dauda made it into the team for the fourth time in six second round matches with the most consistent Latif Blessing missing out on three successful occasions.

1. Fatau Dauda –GK (AshGold): The AshGold goalie stood between the transformed and energized Ebusua Dwarfs side to deny the visitors the three points. Despite Dwarfs taking the lead, Dauda lived up to the billing by pulling four important saves to be picked as the goalie of the week 21 matches.

2. Richard Akrofi (Hearts): The former Wa All Stars center back adapted very well at the right back for the Phobians. He was very productive and keep a constant check on the Kotoko wingers

3. Samuel Kyere (Kotoko): Kyere was very instrumental in the Kotoko defence. His surging runs paid off a lot of positive dividends for the home side. He kept a constant check on Patrick Razak and dispossessed him countlessly.

4. Inusah Musah (Hearts): Obviously the player of the week. Inusah made sure Kotoko’s lethal weapon Dauda Mohammed was kept under consistent security. He won the MVP of the Super Clash and was a major reason why Hearts got a draw.

5. Okyere Sarpong (Techiman City): The Techiman City center back was effectively efficient in ensuring his side won the battle against Inter Allies. He subsequently won the MVP of the game.

6. Tawfik Mohammed (New Edubiase): the New Edubiase new boy earned the praises of all who witnessed the game with Berekum Chelsea. He assisted the only goal scored by the visitors and nearly aided them to run away with a point. He emerged the MVP after the game.

7. Kojo Poku (Hasaacas): Despite winning the MVP, Kojo Poku registered a brace to win all three points for his side. Reports are that he scored two other goals which were disallowed by the referee indicating his influence on the game.

8. Samudeen Ibrahim (Hearts): Cool and relaxed, the intelligent midfielder stole the show at the Baba Yara especially in the second half. He attracted all the bad tackles from the Kotoko midfield and dictated the pace for the Phobians. His passing was just accurate and was the life wire of the Phobian midfield.

9. Bright Adjei (Aduana Stars): Bright won the MVP in the game against Liberty Professionals. He scored the only goal and was the tormentor in chief for the home side.

10. Richmond Lamptey (WAFA): Appearing from nowhere, Richmond stole the show at Sogakope with a brace for his side and the MVP award. His dazzling skills and amazing speed was just too much for the Bechem United defence to handle.

11. Patrick Razak (Hearts): He was just the man Hearts needed to get a goal at Baba Yara. He scored the equalizer for the Phobians and was just too much for the Kotoko center backs to handle.
