Ghana pushes for Charles Takyi nationality switch

The Ghana Football Association claims moves have been made to naturalize Germany youth international Charles Takyi.

Ghana FA vice-president Fred Pappoe says an initial request to Fifa for the player’s nationality switch has been made.

The 26 year old represented Germany at the youth level but is still eligible to play for the Black Stars.

The St Pauli striker has been in form in recent times and scored a brace last month to lift the club from the drop.
