Ghana stands to reap over a million pounds from FIFA's financial windfall from the sale of TV rights for next year's World Cup Finals in Germany.

FIFA has sold the TV rights to next year's World Cup in Germany for ?670 million, fifteen times as much as the profit it made in 1990.

Beside the sale of TV rights, McDonalds, Coca-Cola, Emirates and other global corporations have paid a further ?238 million for the hoardings and marketing rights.

FIFA would pay the Ghana Football Association and every national association a varying, generally modest amount for taking part in the tournament.

But even before that, FIFA would be presenting some one million dollars to Ghana for the Black Stars' preparations ahead of the competition.

The Black Stars who would be making their debut at the World Cup also stand the chance of raking in more millions if they manage to advance to the group stage of the competition.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the World Cup Organizing Committee, Franz Beckenbaur would visit Ghana before the tournament kicks off next June.
