Bata, Feb. 7, GNA - Coach Goran Stevanovic knows he will have to lead Black Stars to overcome Zambia at the semi final stage to get closer to the trophy h promised to deliver to Ghana after a three decade wait, counting on the morale and personality of his players.

Ghana has had to endure a torrid time for the last 48 hours after qualifying to the last four in 120 minutes against a disciplined Tunisian side before traveling from Gabon to Equatorial Guinea for Wednesday's meet. Stevanovic wished his charges could have chosen the easy way out with the build up to the duel that determines who plays at the finals but insists Ghana will rely on her morale and personality.

He told GNA Sports in Bata, “We played for 120 minutes against a very tough Tunisian side, then have to be on the plane to Bata, which is very difficult. But the most important thing is our morale and personality and we have all that to rely on'.

“I know the Zambian team very well. It is a very strong and discipline team and we expect a very tough fight from them.”

Stevanovic was coy on whether his hardworking midfielder, Emmanuel Agyeman Badu who received a knock in the game against Tunisia that could rule him out of Wednesday's game, but won his race against time will be part of the team.

“It is normal to expect players to take some knocks after a game like that but they should be ready for tomorrow. Zambia is chasing a first Nations Cup glory while Ghana chases a fifth in three decades.
