Ghana international Dominic Oduro is optimistic that the Black Stars will beat the USA again despite the threat they will pose at the 2014 World Cup.
The Columbus Crew player believes the 2010 World Cup quarter-finalists will go beyond the group stage after being drawn with Germany, Portugal and USA.
“We have beaten them twice already - 2006 and2010 - in this competition and so I don’t think nothing is going to stop us from doing it the third time,” Oduro told Accra-based Asempa FM.
He added: “I also play in the MLS with majority of them, and when I compare player quality we are far ahead, just that they are hardworking, determined and never give up easily, but we also got the experience.”
“There are a lot of Ghanaians doing marvelously well in the MLS, and we will be happy if the coach casts his net wide [ahead of the World Cup],” Oduro stated.
The 28-year-old made his international debut against Chile on February 29, 2012 at the PPL Park Chester, Pennsylvania.
