TP Mazembe full back Yaw Frimpong says he is confident that the Black Stars will win Group E in the ongoing 2015 African Nations Cup qualifiers.
Frimpong, part of the squad for the double header against Guinea, told footy-ghana.com that even though the games against Guinea were tough, Ghana has enough quality to win games, as evidenced by the 3-1 win in Tamale.
“The Tamale game in particular was very tough but we showed that we have the quality to win games and am confident that Ghana will win the Group to qualify for the tournament.”
Frimpong also praised fans in Tamale for the massive support given the Black Stars, noting that he is looking forward to returning with the team to Tamale for next month’s qualifier against Togo.
“I was very happy with the support of the Tamale fans. The love they showed us was wonderful and it will be nice to go back there again with the team next month.”
Ghana leads the standings in Group E with eight points; two clear of Togo after four matches.
