Footyghana.com has learnt that the semifinals of the ongoing Glo G8 Cup competition have been rescheduled for tomorrow and Friday.
According to our sources, the change in dates occurred because today is a public holiday commemorating the birthfay of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
As a result, certain commemorative activities will take place at the Sunyani Coronation Park today, resulting in the date change.
The television rights holders for the competition, Ghana Television are also be covering the Milo Marathon today and so the dates had to be changed.
The first semifinal between Berekum Chelsea and Ashanti Gold will therefore take place tomorrow in Sunyani whilst the second semifinal between Medeama Sc and New Edubiase United will take place on Friday, September 23 2011 in Sekondi.
