Sekondi, Sept. 22, GNA - John Baker, former ace goalkeeper of the national soccer team, the Black Stars and former First Division side, Sekondi Eleven Wise has been confirmed dead at Sekondi on Sunday, September 4 at the age of 57.
Mr. Timothy De-Graft Mensah, Ebusuapanin of the Temerasaase Ebiradzi Royal Family of Essikadu told the GNA Sports in Sekondi on Tuesday that the late Baker died after a short illness.
Baker also played for Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Real Tamale United (RTU) football clubs during his hey days.
He would be buried at the Essikadu public cemetery followed by funeral rites at the family house at Essikadu.
Mr. Mensah said a thanksgiving service would be held at the Essikadu Saint Marks Anglican Church for the deceased.
