Asante Kotoko’s team manager Godwin Ablordey is in danger of suffering a Ghana FA ban after being cited in the assault case of a referee.
The champions have been slapped with an indefinite home ban following attacks on referee E.R Biney in the 1-0 defeat to Heart of Lions on March 26.
There could however be more trouble for the Porcupine Warriors after their team manager – Godwin Ablordey – was cited in both reports of the match commissioner and the referee, according to a Metro FM report.
The former Ghana international will be given a hearing when the case is opened at the Ghana FA’s Disciplinary Committee.
Ablordey faces up to a year’s ban for his alleged role of inciting supporters to attack referee Biney in their defeat to Heart of Lions.
The ex-Asante Kotoko captain is alleged to have escaped a similar charge in times past – lessening his chances of success in the latest case.
