Ghana coach Avram Grant remains upbeat about his side's chances of reaching the 2018 Fifa World Cup despite Friday's setback.
The Black Stars watched on helplessly as the Cranes stole a point away from the Tamale Sports Stadium in the qualifying third round group opener.
“We have five games to go," Grant said after the game.
"Even in the [2015] Afcon, we lost the opening game [to Senegal] but we qualified [from the group in the end].
"We have the quality to make it.
“Our group is a tough group, so there won’t be easy games.
"They have got a point here, we can go there and beat them, it’s football.”
Ghana are seeking a fourth successive appearance at the global showpiece following outings in 2006, 2010 and 2014.
Congo are set to host Egypt in the other group match on Sunday.
