Ghana coach Avram Grant will be experimenting with the 4-3-3 formation when the Black Stars face Mali in an international friendly on Tuesday.
Ghana is looking to bounce back from a 2-1 defeat to Senegal in their first friendly for the month of March last Saturday in Le Havre.
Coach Grant is looking to try out other systems and formations and will be lining his side up in a 4-3-3 formation on Tuesday night against Mali – a departure from the usual 4-4-2 formation the Black Stars is accustomed to.
“It’s a different target now to when in a tournament,” Grant said.
“In friendly matches, you have a chance to try different situations and different systems.
“Tomorrow we will start with the 4-3-3 and see how it goes.”
The Black Stars are playing for the first time since their silver-medal feat at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
