Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan admits he should have converted the numerous scoring chances he had during Sunday's 2-2 draw with Mali.

The Black Stars got out of jail with a late strike against the Malians in the last Group D game that secured the draw. Ghana created a myriad of chances but woeful finishing and bad luck left the Black Stars spin towards an embarrassing draw at home.

Gyan, one of the culprits for fluffing the scoring chances admits that he should have done better with the chances he had. “I should have taken one of those chances,” Gyan admitted.

"Maybe part of the problem was that I was too eager to score.” “They held the ball well and made us work. It was a really difficult game.” Ghana finished top of the group ahead of Benin and Mali with Sudan firmly at the bottom of the group.
