Guinea coach Michel Dussuyer says his defence was badly hurt by the experience of Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan in their 3-1 defeat on Wednesday.

The Syli National came up shot despite putting up a brave fights against the Black Stars in their 2015 AFCON qualifier played in Tamale.

Gyan opened the scoring for the hosts after 14 minutes and continued to torment the visitors’ defence throughout the game.

The skillful Al Ain ace won an important penalty for Ghana to restore its lead early in the second half with one of his trademark moves.

The 28-year-old was a constant threat to Dussuyer who believes his relatively young defenders failed to find the antidote to contain the Black Stars captain.

“Gyan was too much for our young defender to play against,” Dussuyer said.

“Asamoah Gyan has a lot of experience and he used it against us today.”

Gyan has moved up as one of the leading scorers in the 2015 AFCON qualifiers with three goals in four games.

The ex Sunderland man also extended his all-time leading scorer record for Ghana to 45 goals with his opening strike against Guinea.
