Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan scored the only goal which gave Al Ain a precious 1-0 win over Al Shabab in Riyadh in their Asian Champions League Group match on Wednesday.
Gyan, the competitions’ top scorer for last season, utilized an assist from South Korean Myeong-Ju Lee on 58 minutes.
The win sent Al Ain to the summit of Group B with nine points; one more than closest chasers- Naft Tehran- who drew 1-1 at home with Pakhtakor Tashkent
Compatriots Mohammed Awal played the entire duration for the Saudi side and striker John Antwi lasted 46 minutes on the pitch.
