Hamburg SV manager Bruno Labbadia has heaped praises on Ghanaian midfielder Gideon Jung for his performance in the Dinosaurs 3-1 triumph over Borussia Dortmund on Friday night.
The 21-year-old returned to the Hamburg first team squad and claimed a starting spot at the Volksparkstadion as he impressed 54000 fans with Hamburg halting the winning run of Dortmund.
Jung's performance on the night was his fifth outing of the season for Hamburg but manager Labbadia was particularly thrilled with his show against Dortmund and described his performance as 'super'.
"It was a great team performance. Matze had a great game and Gideon was super," he told the German press.
Jung was born to Ghanaian parents in Germany and has already turned down an opportunity to represent the European country at youth level, hoping to receive a call-up from Ghana.
