Ghana and Esperance utility defender Harrison Afful has allayed fears he is set for a long time on the side lines after being substituted in Ghana’s 7-1 victory against Mauritius.
Afful was a forced late substitution in Ghana’s 7-1 mauling of Mauritius with the Esperance man visibly unable to move his left knee.
The former Asante Kotoko man was suspected to have picked up a long term problem. But Affuls says he is ok and should be back soon.
“I had problems but I am getting better now,” the Esperance man told GHANAsoccernet.com
“I am hoping to be back as soon as possible.”
Afful made his debut for Ghana in 2008 and has been a key member of the team since Avram Grant took over the side.
