Abuja, Nigeria, Oct 8 - GNA - Alhaji Issah Hayatou, president of the Confederation of African Football has taken his campaign to Nigeria where the Eighth All Africa Games are holding.
The CAF boss who took time off his schedule to watch a basketball match between Angola and Senegal indicated his intention to vie for another term when Congress convenes in Tunis in January next year.
He revealed his love for basketball and told newsmen that he played the game for Cameroon during the 1973 All Africa Games.
Hayatou said he was preoccupied with mapping out strategies, which will enable him to triumph at the elections.
Hayatou pleaded for the support of Nigeria in his quest for another stay at the plume CAF job saying, "I am confident of winning the election and as usual,
I count on our big brother Nigeria, to support me." Hayatou is expected to face a stiff challenge form the influential Ishmael Bhamje of Botswana who had announced his intention and maybe from Ghadafi the son of the Libyan President.
