Accra, April 24 GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak's goalkeeper, Sannie Abacha Mohammed has expressed his desire to study Journalism alongside his present job with the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Champions League campaigners.

Mohammed, a graduate of Pope Johns Secondary School said even though he is presently involved in football, the desire to further his education still remains his top-most priority.

The Hearts goalie is at the moment planning to apply for admission to the Ghana Institute of Journalism as a step in fulfilling his long cherished dream.

He told the GNA Sports, "I have always harboured the dream of picking up a career in journalism as a profession I love so much and the time is now".

"I love Journalism, it's the best profession in the whole wide world. Opera was fired from the Newsroom but went ahead to become the World's richest natural made woman just by hosting a show on television and the examples are uncountable".

Mohammed rose to stardom in 2004 for playing an instrumental role in the annexation of the 2004 Confederation Cup by Hearts, saying he did not intend quitting football but combining it with education, though he foresees much difficulty in the combination.

"I cannot quit football too because it's the only means of survival for me, I'm therefore determined to make the best out of the situation". Mohammed is not only dreaming of becoming a journalist but to establish a media consultancy after some years of practice where he hopes to develop and produce his own programmes on radio and television. "Apart from that, I have plans of establishing a newspaper of a very good quality which will be patronised by all Ghanaians as well as the business community".

The goalie has however been missing in action for greater part of the first quarter of the year.

Information gathered from the camp of Hearts reveals that the technical team seem unaware of his whereabouts. It is hoped that the player would return to training by the close of the week as the team prepares for the resumption of the One Touch Top Four Tournament and the second leg of the CAF Champions League game against Etoile Du Sahel of Tunisia in Tunis on May 5.
