The Executive Committee of the world soccer governing body, FIFA, has agreed to a $750,000 US dollar compensation to be given to champion club, Accra Hearts of Oak and eleven other competitors, for the cancelled World Club championship.

The decision by FIFA means Accra Hearts of Oak would be given $250,000 dollars in addition to $500,000 dollars already paid by the soccer controlling body.

The Spanish Football Federation, which was to host the event this month, would also be given 1 million US dollars.

According to the Executive Committee, any further compensation will be dependent upon FIFA’s negotiations with the Traffic agency, with whom it decided to terminate the TV marketing agreement for the postponed competition.
