Hearts coach hauled to Disciplinary Committee

Accra, Feb 20, GNA - Coach Mitko Dobrew, the Bulgarian technical head of Accra Hearts of Oak has been summoned to appear before the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA). The Bulgarian, who is in his first season in charge of the team, has been hauled before the Committee to answer questions on his alleged pitch invasion to harass the match official in the rescheduled seventh week Premier League match between Hearts and league debutants, Tema Youth.

The match in question ended one nil in favour of the Phobians. According to a statement signed by Mr K. Ampim-Darko, Deputy General Secretary (Technical) of the GFA, copied to the GNA Sports, the Coach is to appear before the Committee with his employers, Accra Hearts of Oak and a player of the Club, Charles Vardis. Accra Great Olympics, opponents of Hearts in the 23rd week local derby played at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park are also to appear before the Committee.

Hearts in addition to their case with Olympics will also answer further queries arising from their matches against Bofoakwa and Tema Youth.

Other clubs to appear before the Committee to answer questions in their respective matches are Ashantigold/Kumasi Asante Kotoko and FCM Maamobi/Seven United.

Berekum Arsenals are also to appear before the Committee with the Professional League Board (PLB) cameraman, Ohene Adjei. Referee William Quaye and E. B. Aduborfour, a Match Commissioner from Kumasi are also requested to appear before the Committee. According to the statement all invited persons and Clubs are to be at the GFA Secretariat on Thursday, February 22 at 3:00 pm.
