Hearts deserved victory - Coach Thompson

Kumasi, Sept. 1, GNA - Nii Noi Thompson, coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, has described the Club's victory over Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the GHALCA Top Four tournament as well-deserving.

"We created all the decent chances in the game and could have recorded a cricket score line if the chances had been utilized", he told the GNA Sports in Kumasi.

Hearts beat Kotoko 1-0, in their second match of the competition at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, sending supporters of the Club into wild jubilation.

Coach Thompson said the technical team had planned to infuse "young blood into the team by encouraging players from the Club's junior side" to fit into their scheme to make Hearts a more winsome side.

He thanked the supporters for the massive support during the Kotoko-Hearts

match and appealed to them to continuously pray for the Club as they prepare for

the CAF Champions League.
