Accra, Mar 22, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak are set to go ahead with their much awaited Congress following a ruling on Tuesday by an Accra High Court in their favour to the effect that Mr Bright Akwetey is not a shareholder of club.

The court, presided by Justice Akwaah ruled that Mr Bright Akwetey, former Board Secretary of the Club is not a shareholder of the club as he claimed in his submission.

A statement signed by Ernest Thompson, the Board Secretary of Hearts copied to the GNA Sports said the court upheld the submissions made by Hearts that Bright Akwetey had long relinquished his shares in the Club.

The statement said it is the hope of the Club that barring any appeal from the camp of Bright Akwetey, the Club would now prepare for its Congress.

Bright Akwetey some time last year placed an injunction on the management of the Hearts that prevented them from holding their annual delegates Congress to elect their Board of Directors to run the affairs of the Club.

He demanded that the Club render accounts on the sale of ten players who were sold to foreign clubs.
