Accra, June 23, GNA - The Interim Management Committee of Accra Hearts of Oak has appealed to the supporters of the Club to remain calm and focused in the face of the recent unimpressive performance in the premiership.

A statement signed by Frank Nelson Nwokolo, Vice Chairman of the IMC said they are aware of the concerns of the supporters after they registered their displeasure over the performance of the club by casting insinuations and threats at the players and technical team after the game against Real Tamale United (RTU) last Sunday.

It, however, noted that the supporters must exercise caution whilst expressing their sentiments, adding that it could derail the set objectives of regaining the Premier League title.

The statement therefore urged the supporters to also refresh their memory with the words of Tommy Thompson to guide and inspire them in their actions "bear with us whenever we lose a match because as much as we are determined to win the entire war, we may lose some of the battles, as different strategies would have to be evolved to guarantee that we eventually win the war".

It said the management has taken a proactive step to replace coach Kosta Papic with Nii Noi Thompson whose process of bonding the playing body as a group with a common objective would require a SWOT analysis, teaching the technical team his football philosophy as well as his views on attitude and conduct.
