Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak are seeking to sign German coach Ernst Middendrop in a massive technical shake-up meant to whip the Accra-based side into shape ahead of next season, insiders have told Ghana’s leading football news outfit, GHANAsoccernet.com.
The Phobians are expected to send details of a proposal to the German coach on Thursday morning who previously coached the side.
Insiders say talks with Middendorp have already started and they are expected to conclude on the terms if the strict German accepts the conditions to be tabled by the Accra club.
This comes after club leaders were reported to have held a meeting on Wednesday night over the next technical direction of the club.
The Phobians look to have turned their attention to Middendorp after realising their quest for Swedish coach Tom Strand will not materialize as his club- Medeama- are not keen on releasing him.
Middendorp is without a club after leaving South African club Chippa United.
Hearts are seeking a permanent coach for the side after struggling to beat relegation at the end of this season culminating in the sacking of coach Herbert Addo.
Turkish coach Can Vanli was brought in the last matches of the season, but he is said not to be the right person to lead the former African champions as they seek to revive their fortunes.
