Accra, Feb 8, GNA - The Technical team of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has recalled its suspended trio of Bernard Don Bortey, Dan Quaye and Francis Bossman and requested them to report to camp. The trio were sanctioned late week for failing to report to camp without any justifiable reasons.
The players have since joined their colleagues in camp at Winneba to prepare for the 2006 MTN/CAF Champions League. Information reaching the GNA Sports reveals that the players who were placed on an indefinite suspension as well as had their January salaries frozen, have rendered unqualified apology to the technical team and the management board.
The players were also asked to undergo conditioning with Auroras, the junior side of Hearts, which is currently being handled by Coach Dauda Lutterodt after missing the most part of the pre-season training. Having missed the pre-season training, there are indications that the trio might not be part of the final squad for the first leg game against Wallidan of Gambia on February 19.
This is because head coach, Francis Oti-Akenten had indicated in earlier interviews that the three players are not much fit having missed the pre-season physical training.
