, set for another legal tussle
Hearts of Oak have officially been served with the protest of Aduana Stars, Kumasi-based Metro FM reported.
The Phobians were served by a Ghana FA official on Thursday afternoon. Aduana want Hearts to be declared losers of their Week 17 fixture in Dormaa due to their failure to honour an earlier disciplinary ruling.
The Phobians won the game 1-0 but the fire club claim the result must be reversed in their favour.
Hearts were slapped with a hefty fine for the wrongful dismissal of coach David Duncan.
The Phobians are however yet to pay the fine despite launching an appeal against the original ruling.
But Aduana claim the Rainbow club did not file for the suspension of the fine in their appeal – for which reason they must be made to forfeit their win.
Hearts have since responded to the protest – claiming they have filed for a stay of execution of the fine – setting the stage for an interesting legal tussle.
