Hearts signs kits sponsorship agreement with JAKO

Accra, October 1, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has signed a 100,000 euros kit sponsorship agreement with a German Sportswear manufacturer, JAKA AG for an initial period of two years. JAKO would brand the Phobians with assorted complimentary sports equipment, that would include but not limited to jerseys, boots, shorts, pants, hose, tracksuits, gloves, running shoes and footballs. Ashford Tettey-Oku, Administrative Manager of the Club told GNA Sports on Monday that the league champions are expected to in return buy 10,000 JAKO replica shirts at the first instance.

The Board Chairman of Hearts, Mr E. M. Commodore-Mensah who together with Mr Stephen Akwetey, Chairman of the IMC signed for Hearts while Mr J. Opoku Adjei - Solicitor and Samuel Owusu Ofori, General Manager signed for JAKO.

Mr Commodore-Mensah said the Club would strive to discharge its obligation under the contract and challenged numerous supporters of the Club to ensure the sustainability of the 'new dream' by purchasing the replicas.

The Board Chairman warned that the Club would travel every length to protect its registered trademark and warned pirates who attempt to cheat to cheat the system to be ready for a fight. The officials of JAKO pledged that they would supply Hearts all the items in the contract as soon as possible and appealed to all dedicated Phobians to help make the relationship a successful one. This is the first time in the club's 96 years history that it has signed a kit sponsorship agreement after initial failed attempts with L-Sporto and Kajumolo.

Present at the signing ceremony were Vice Chaiman of the IMC, Frank Nelson Nwokolo, IMC Member and Administrative Manager, Ashford Tettey Oku and Lawrence K. Saforo, Sales and marketing officer of JAKO. 01 Oct.
