Hearts of Oak’s management will review the suspension of midfielder Laryea Kingston after the player tendered in an apology letter.

The Ghana international is currently serving an indefinite ban for attacking the club’s accountant.

Kingston wrote to the club last week to express remorse over his totally unacceptable behaviour.

The ex Hearts of Midlothian midfielder had his request to terminate his contract with the Accra-based club turned down by management after he was slapped with the indefinite suspension.

The 31-year-old now wants to return to the side weeks before Hearts host rivals Asante Kotoko in Ghana’s version of the El Classico.

Club chairman Togbe Afede XIV however says management will meet to review Kingston’s status now that he has expressed remorse.

“Laryea Kingston is officially still on indefinite suspension for a behaviour he exhibited sometime ago which you are already aware of,” he told Kumasi-based Kessben FM.

“But once we have received an expression of remorse from him, I am sure management will be happy to look at it again,” he said.

Kingston has been involved in several bust ups with coaches, players and officials since returning to his boyhood club last year to revive his career.

He infamously fell out with former coach CK Akunnor for breaking camp rules by driving his car to Hearts’ pre-season camping at the start of the current campaign.

Kingston was again punished for undergoing trials with an Iranian club in January without the permission of the club.
