A seemingly daunting assignment faces Champions League campaigners Aduana Stars when they host their North African counterparts in their return leg clash at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa tomorrow.

The home side enter the game with a 0-3 deficit, and it will take nothing short of a miracle for them to advance to the next stage of the competition.

A victory by the Dormaa-based side will also make a strong case for Ghana’s quest to restore its Champions League slot which has been reduced to one.

Most definitely, a win will keep critics of Ghana’s CHAN trainer, Herbert Addo, mute, at least for a while. However, the reverse will complicate his predicament, placing him in a tight situation to produce the magic to see Aduana at the other side of the river.

Coach Addo laid the first leg loss at the doorstep of multiple of factors-bad weather and bad officiating among other things, and that given a level playing ground, they will rise to the occasion.

But that is a dream that will not be realized on a silver platter considering the North Africans’ pedigree on the continental level. They have been a thorn in Asante Kotoko's flesh in the past, and if that is anything to go by, then coach Addo and his charges need an extra-ordinary performance to make it past their opponents.

In a related development, Ashgold, with a feather in their cap, having returned home with a 1-0 lead, will also host Cote d’Ivoire’s Sewe Sports in the Confederation Cup tie at the Len Clay Stadium.

The Ghanaians have been tipped to advance to the next stage of the competition.
