Coach Herbert Addo has accepted blame for his side’s flagging start to the season following another lackluster draw against city rivals Liberty Professionals on Wednesday.

Hearts had to rally from behind to pick a point at the Accra sports stadium as their fans watched in agony and despair.

The team looked disjointed and didn’t look like a side capable of challenging for the Ghana Premier League crown.

Tamimu Muntari opened the scoring for the scientific soccer lads in the first half before new recruit Richard Yamoah headed home the much-needed equalizer late in the second half.

The former African champions have struggled for flair and consistency since their opening 1-0 win at WAFA and coach Herbert Addo says he’s surprised at his team’s failings but takes the blame for the turn of event.

“I am a bit surprised that we have not gelled. But that is football,” he told reporters after the game.

“I am a professional man, I am an experienced coach. I accept my mistakes. Hearts travel to Kumasi to face arch-rivals Kotoko in the biggest football match on the domestic calendar on Saturday.
