Accra, Sept. 28, GNA - Some of the finest hip-life music artists in the country will perform at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, October 1, to herald the Black Satellites match against Cote D' Ivoire in the first leg qualifiers for the Africa Youth Championship, in Benin next year.
Mr Kwesi Nyatakyie, Chairman of the Black Satellites Management Committee, who disclosed this at a news conference in Accra on Tuesday named Sidney of "apuskeleke fame", "VIP" and "Obuor" as some of the artists who had been invited to perform.
He said the move was part of their strategy to attract more people to the stadium to cheer the team on to victory.
Mr Nyantakyie said the team was highly motivated to win the game and only needed the presence of Ghanaians at the stadium to execute their task.
He said the gate fees had been reduced drastically to 10,000 and 20,000 cedis to enable as many fans as possible to watch the match and cheer the team on to victory.
The Chairman said arrangements had also been made to start the match at 5:00 pm to enable more soccer fans especially workers to witness the match after work.
Mr Nyantakyie said the team has made adequate preparation since May this year and were set to "bury their opponents" to make the second leg in Abidjan a mere formality.
He called on Ghanaians to throw their weight behind the team and fill the stands on Friday to ensure victory.
