Hot Steel FC for National Division One League

The Volta Regional Division Two super middle league playoff between Hot Steel FC (HO) and Wuduaba Shooting Stars took place yesterday at the Kpando Sports Stadium. Hot Steel FC secures the sole ticket to the National Division One League as they beat Wuduaba Shooting Stars by 4-2. The match was characterized by power pack action as both teams played their hearts out in search of a goal. The breakthrough came in the 26th minutes of the first half when striker Abdul Karim bounce on a loose ball that deflected on the cross bar and needed just a tap in to put shooting stars ahead. The lead was canceled by Akakpo Wilson of Hot Steel FC when he connected a corner kick from Enam Adabla to the blind side of the keeper in post for Shooting Stars. The match switched from left to right in the second half as both sides press for a winning goal but that never materialize as the match ended 1-1 in regulation time. In the penalty shot out, it ended 4-2 in favors of Hot Steel FC as goalkeeper Dzado Kisinger saved two of the kicks for hot steel to hand them the victory. The Volta region for over ten years has not seen any active participation in the Division One League after the lives of VORADEP FC and Home Stars FC vanished in the air .This victory comes as a joy to the people of the region. The chairman of Hot Steel FC Dickson Akotia express his delight over the victory and promise to keep the club in the region, he also call on benevolent organization to come on board and support the club in the National Division One League.
