I Can't Say No To Inter

Muntari After Goal 2 Against Czech

Despite repeatedly having assured the Pompey's fans in recent weeks that he has no desire to leave Fratton Park, the Ghana ace has admitted that he has jumped at the chance to sign for the Italian champions.

Muntari told skysports.com: "There are teams when they come to you, you need to listen to them.

"Harry has developed my game, he has been a father figure to me.

"I love him, and also the Portsmouth fans, but when Inter call you need to listen.

"I already missed a chance to play for a super team (Manchester United) this time I need to seize it."

Muntari was an instant success since arriving from Udinese last summer but now, barring a spectacular collapse, it appears as good as certain that he will be wearing the black-and-blue of Inter this season.

The all-action midfielder is expected to cost his new employers around £11 million, with additional amounts due depending on particular milestones, and the player himself will earn around £3.million a year.
