Orlando Pirates second goalkeeper Lucky Lekgwathi has revealed that he keeps encouraging Ghana shot-stopper Fatau Dauda to keep his focus in order to break into the starting line-up of the Bucs.
With the World Cup coming up in June, Dauda has been under incessant pressure from the Ghanaian media to quit Pirates in order to get game time and be in shape ahead of the Mundial in Brazil.
“Dauda is my roommate, so we motivate each other. We get to training early and we work hard. I talk to him all the time,” Lekgwathi told Soccer Laduma.
“I always tell him to keep his head up and any chance he gets he must take it. The chances will come,” predicted Lekgwathi.
Dauda who was not called when Ghana played Montenegro in an international friendly is racing behind time to be in the post for the Black Stars as the summer football fiesta draws near.
