The newly appointed CEO of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Major Rtd. Yaw Larson has stated that he is more than competent to steer the affairs of the the club.
This assertion was made in an exclusive interview with the Sports Desk of Space FM. According to the ex-millitary senior officer, apart from his deep knowledge in the field of administration, he has rich credentials in the game of football.
He recounted his early association with Kotoko as the Director of Operations in 1982. He is thought to have played a very instrumental role in the success story of Kotoko in the 1983 African Club Championship. He was the scribe for GHALCA for six years before graduating to become the chairman of the association. He was a member of the Black Meteors team that won Bronze medal in 1992 Olympic Games. Again, he was in Senegal 92 as a management member of Black Stars team.
The appointment of Major Larson was characterised with pockets of agitations culminating in the attack of Kennedy Agyapong.
Major Larson who assumed official duties yesterday has called on the rank and file of Kotoko to unite and fight for the interest of Kotoko. According to the CEO, the interest of Kotoko must be placed above personal interest.
