Black Stars winger Andre Dede Ayew has reaffirmed his commitment to the national course by stating that he is eager to help the team qualify to next year’s World Cup in Brazil.

The 23-year-old called of his temporal retirement from the Black Stars on Tuesday after meeting with President John Mahama at the Flagstaff House in Accra.

Ayew who played in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa has featured in only one qualifying game so far. He was speaking to XYZ Sports in an interview.

"Any Ghanaian player who wears that national jersey gives off his best to the country so I think there are no conditions. It is just that we look for the best for our nation and I am happy to be back. “All that I am hoping to do is to complement the efforts of my team mates, and help the team to qualify for next year’s World Cup," he added.

Ghana is pushing for a historic third World Cup appearance, but currently trail Zambia in the Group D table going into Sunday’s penultimate match against Lesotho.

The Olympique Marseile winger is likely to be included in the squad that will take on the Chipolopolos of Zambia in the final round of matches in September.
