Ghana striker Mahatma Otoo believes he has shown head coach Olsson that he deserves to start with his fine performance for Sogndal on Sunday which saw him scoring and winning the man-of-the-match gong against Sandnes Ulf.
The former Hearts of Oak goal poacher was left on the bench in their game against Valeranga a fortnight ago which caused a defender to criticise the coach.
“It is not easy to come from Africa and adapt easily to European football style,” Otoo said to nrk.no. “But I have not been frustrated. In Ghana, I played for a top club so there is no pressure on me here.”
“Here in Sogndal I have therefore worked hard in training to make the coach know that I deserve to start.”
Sunday’s goal was Otoo’s first in the league and he is hoping to score more next season as the term is almost closed.
