Anderlecht forward Frank Acheampong has described his call up to the Black Stars as an answer to his prayer.
Acheampong told Accra-based Happy FM that he had been waiting for a chance to be part of the senior national team set-up, adding that it is an opportunity to show what he can do.
“It is a chance to show what I can do. I have been praying hard for a chance like this and I am delighted to get the invitation,” he added.
Acheampong, who has enjoyed a fine start to the season with the Belgian giants, also told Happy FM that he would do everything possible to help the Black Stars beat Zambia in the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier on September 6 in Kumasi.
“It is my aim to do everything I can to help the Black Stars win this game because it is very important to all Ghanaians.”
Acheampong was one of the stars of the show as Ghana won bronze at the 2013 World Youth Cup in Turkey earlier this year.
