I miss playing for the Stars - Paintsil

Defender John Paintsil has stated that he misses his time with the Stars stressing that he will give everything to get a recall into the team.

According to the player, having played for the senior national team for so long it’s only natural that he will miss its activities, now that he is not part of the technical team’s plans for now.

“The national team is the best thing that can happen to any professional footballer because of the pride involved.”

“It’s not the same if you have been doing something for a long time and you stop all of a sudden. It will take a toll on you especially something you really enjoy doing, and for me I really enjoy playing for my country”, John Paintsil mentioned.

For Paintsil getting back into the national team is not his present priority, but making a strong impact with his new Club, Maritzburg United, a team he now calls home.
