Former Hearts of Oak playmaker Charles Taylor insists he never cheated on his age as many of his peers who have now faded away did.
The 33-year-old claims he is still fighting to revive his football career following an extensive spell on the sidelines with injury.
It is even unclear if the ex Ghana playmaker is still a player of Berekum Chelsea – the last club to have signed him onto a professional contract.
But Taylor claims he still has 10 years of football in him because he did not cheat on his age as others did.
“I never cheated on my age like others did and that is why I have lasted till this day,” he told Asempa FM.
“Injury has been my major problem otherwise I would have still been playing.
“I still have about 10 years more of football in me.”
Taylor rose to prominence while with Hearts of Oak in their most fruitful days in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.
He subsequently crossed carpet in a controversial move to join rivals Asante Kotoko where he failed to live up to his own high standards.
Taylor later claimed his performance was badly affected by a curse placed on him when he decided to leave Hearts.
He later moved to Etoile du Sahel where his career really started to take a dive and not even a return to Hearts of Oak was enough to return him to his form of old.
