Injuries rule out Agogo and Owu

Ghana striker Junior Agogo and Goerge Owu are of to tonight’s World Cup qualifying clash with Sudan because of injuries.

Agogo suffered a rib injury during training on Friday and that kept him out of training on Saturday night.

His absence has left coach Milovan Rajevac with just Asamoah Gyan as his replacement striker but Opoku Agyemang, who is also on the bench, can also play in the attack.

Owu is suspected to have suffered from a broken finger and his place on the bench has been taken over by William Amamoo.

The absence of the two players is not seen as a major blow for the team as they are suitable replacements.

The duo are the only two players who will not wear the jersey of the national team in today’s Group Four game.

Ghana can qualify for the World Cup if they best Sudan and Mali hold benin in Coutonou.
