Former Accra Hearts of Oak marksman, Ishmael Addo has pitched camp with Phobians? archrivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The three-time national premier league goal king trained with the Porcupine Warriors last Friday in Kumasi as Kotoko prepared for their CAF Champions League game against Ferroviaro Du Maputo yesterday.
According to the Africa Sports, a bi-weekly sports paper, Ishmael stated that his decision to join Kotoko?s training session was to allow coach E.K Afranie assess him to see if he can fit into his scheme of things.
Ishmael Addo was reported close to rejoining Hearts of Oak again in February.
The player, who had been plying his trade in Cyprus, has been in the country for sometime now seeking a return to competitive action.
His former club, Accra Hearts of Oak were interested in signing him on at the time but reports indicate that negotiations broke down.
Ishmael?s move to Kotoko though still on the cards for now comes as a surprise as many had tipped the striker to return to the fold of the Phobians.
A switch to Kotoko would certainly increase the tension between the two clubs over player signings after the Porcupine Warriors pulled a fast one on the Phobians with the transfer of Charles Taylor three seasons ago.
