Danish Superliga side Esbjerg FB have taken Ghanaian midfielder James Akaminko on trial.
Akaminko, 19, younger brother of Ghana international Jerry Akaminko has been training with Esbjerg with view to earning a contract.
Esbjerg sports director Niels Erik Sondergaard confirmed to Danish media Wednesday Sport that the Ghanaian central midfielder James Akaminko will stay with the team until Thursday, September 10.
Sondergaard continued: "Akaminko is an exciting player of 19 years and was recommended to us by our scouts.
"On Monday he will be tested in a reserve team match, then the sports management will decide whether to proceed."
Akaminko's representative Papa Agyemang also confirmed the news.
"There has been much interest in James but I placed him in Denmark as it will help his development. The reports from training has been very good.
"He's enjoying it and will be a good step for his career at this stage. We hope to conclude in the coming days."
Akaminko is able to sign even though the transfer window is closed because he's a free agent. He recently rejected a contract offer from Turkish side Eskishierspor.
