Turkey Based Ghana international, Jerry Akaminko has sent assurance to the nation on his commitment to helping the National team team lift it fifth Nations cup after failing to do so in over eleven attempt.
The versatile defender who has featured in both right full back and central defence for his club Eski?ehirspor in the Turkish super league has hit form almost at the right time and he is adamant the nation has a lot to gain from his improvement.

He further implored on players in the Glo premier leagues and all seeking to play at the highest level to bid their and mature in the local league before making the decision to travel abroad.
According to him, the rushing of Ghanains players abroad without allowing them to acquire the mental toughness needed to succeed at the highest level here in Ghana is the reason why many genuine talents fail to blossom. "I have been able to cope in Europe because of the experience I acquired in Ghana and doing so for a longtime".
