Joe Dodoo eyes Ghana place at AFCON

Leicester city youngster Joe Dodoo is eyeing a place in Avram Grant's squad for the 2017 Africa cup of Nations.

Black Stars secured qualification to the finals following a 2-0 win over minnows Mauritius in Port Louis.

The 20-year old attacker has a strong appetite for playing for his country of birth at the biggest stage such as the cup of nations.

Dodoo was invited for the match but was dropped due to his ineligibility to play for Ghana after featuring for England youth team.

Thus must go through FIFA's procedural nationality switch quickly before his dream of representing Ghana at the AFCON can become a reality.
