...Benin win sets up crucial last clash
Benin, coached by Ghana's Jones Attuquayfio, beat Tanzania to set up a winner-takes all clash against Zambia in Group 3 in two weeks' time.
After the Zambians could only manage a draw with Sudan yesterday, Benin took full advantage thanks to Moussoro Kabiru's stylish goal.
Karibu beat two Tanzanian defenders before dispatching his shot and slotting it coolly home.
To their credit, the Tanzanians - bottom of the group without a point - refused to give up. Emmanuel Gabriel came close to equalising for Tanzania but Rachad turned the ball round the post for a corner.
Later on, Victor Costa's close-range header was brilliantly turned away by Rachad once again.
The result means that Benin's encounter at home against Zambia will decide who qualifies from the group.
Zambia still have the advantage, having one point more, and will know a point will be sufficient.
