Jones to Set Agenda For Crunch Talks

BLACK STARS head coach, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio is to set the agenda for a crisis meeting between the FA and club Chairmen and coaches.

The meeting is designed to discuss the overall benefit of releasing home-based players for the national team with the long term goal of building a successful Ghanaian national team.

Jones' proposal comes in the wake of the perceived loss of some locally based players of his squad to European teams and the threat of further internal obstacles looms over the Black Stars' preparation as the resumption of the national premier league is set to rekindle the traditional conflict between club and national interests.

To stem the anticipated conflict, Jones is hoping to reason with his colleagues at the various clubs, as well as Chairmen, to enable the players to remain in the Black Stars camp, and be released at weekends for club assignments.
